Reconstituted Blocks from our preferred suppliers
As there are so many uses for limestone blocks in landscaping, and often they need to be the right profile and dimensions to fit their intended use, we have sourced an extensive range of limestone blocks for every situation.
As well as the limestone blocks, we install limestone capping and liquid limestone. Below are some of the blocks we use. We can also install natural limestone to match existing natural limestone materials you may currently have.
We are one of the few businesses in Perth who are able to install the one metre retaining blocks as we have the machinery to lift and manoeuvre the extra heavy weight of the blocks. (Each block weighs approximately 240kg!)

If the block size or type is not listed above, contact us and let us know what you are after. We can install limestone blocks you supply, or can source limestone blocks for you from any supplier. We can build freestanding block walls with piers and install infill panels. Have an engineers drawing? Send it through to us so we can quote your limestone block project to specification.
Red Earth Limestone Blocks
For a limestone block wall that stands out from the rest, consider using Red Earth reconstituted limestone blocks for your project, rather than standard cream reconstituted limestone.
Because reconstituted limestone blocks are a manufactured product, limestone blocks are available made with a colour pigment added to create Red Earth and even grey coloured limestone blocks.

Natural Limestone

Reconstituted Limestone
A freestanding wall is not a retaining wall as the level of earth is even on both sides, and in most cases will require some form of footing/foundation. Piers may be required.
Retaining Wall:
A retaining wall is designed to hold back material such as sand, gravel, rock etc. The stress on a retaining wall can be increased when it rains as the water content builds up behind the wall. This is why some walls require drainage. There is a rule of thumb which says that the thickness at the base of the wall should be equivalent to 50% of the height of the wall i.e. a wall 1200mm high would be 600mm wide at the base. This rule does not apply to walls that support the weight of pools, buildings or traffic etc.
Perth Trade Centre can arrange to have a structural engineers report for you to submit with your council building permit. We can also arrange for a land survey to be done.
Different councils have different guidelines when determining whether planning permission is required. In most cases, if a wall is 500mm or higher, then council planning permission is required.
